I don't mind lists, I just wish they were longer.,,,

Check out my site when you can; I started it for a book I've just finished which Palgrave Macmillan will publish later this year called Print is Dead: Books in Our Internet Age. Thebook --- and the blog --- talks about various issues in the future of the book debate, including the rise in digital delivery and reading.

Eoin

Re Google Booksearch. I don't think there is 'opposition to it' amongst publishers. It is a perfectly legitimate project which could help people find books. Publishers do, however, have a problem with the Google Library project where Google are digitising authors' in-copyright texts without permission and are claiming the legal right to do so. Given this attitude, it's hard for some publishgers to sign up to Booksearch while suing Google over th eLibrary project. Would you trust a neighbour with some of your property if you thought he was stealing some of your other property?

When its time for you to go list building again why not propose the best Irish blogs (careful about that 'l')? You can make amends to O'Reilly by bringing him on the first wave this time, it would surely recognise Naughton's memex, which is very stylish as well as decently Irish. Should really be in a list of top media blogs also -- but your original list was more 'publishing' than media in the general sense. BTW I can think of half a dozen good newspaper and magazine blogs omitted. Try it
http://memex.naughtons.org/
The only other Irish blog (?) which gets off my deli.cio.us list is

http://www.sacredspace.ie/
So that we have the still circle in a turning world. But I trust you to fill in the gaps.
