Yesterday I launched a new project on Green Lamp Media’s site, Irish Publishing News. It is a news aggregator of Irish publishers, authors, newspapers and other organisations in the book industry.
It is far from perfect and needs more hand crafting than I’d like on a daily basis, but with some fine tuning over the next few weeks, I hope to create a really useful resource for anyone interested in Irish Publishing.
I’d welcome input from any quarter on how to develop it further. If this first iteration works, I intend to put the full version live on its own website.

Much work to go, but I think it’s a decent start.
Of course the current plugin has its issues, not the least of which is the absence of an archive for search, which I need to resolve fairly quickly, but otherwise, I think in terms of a one stop up-front current news location, it’s hitting the right note!

Hi Eoin, I have been doing something a bit similar here for a while its more pub tech and reflects my personal interests rather than anything too Ireland specific

Yes I’m using greader and a filter, but it has it’s issues, most notably the lack of archive and searching ability!
Also, the fact that I am setting this up as a page rather than a blog creates another range of issues!
